The library is committed to the ability of all users to be able to access library materials in an equitable way. To this end, the library strives to achieve and maintain AA Level according to the WCAG 2.1 guidelines in its web presence and its materials.
As a faculty member, your Canvas content is likewise required to be accessible. If you are concerned about the accessibility of course materials in Canvas, check out resources from the IU Knowledge Base.
Materials provided by our database vendors are required to be accessible. If you have materials (e.g. articles, ebooks) in Canvas, you can contact your library liaison to see if we have accessible versions via our databases.
We are here to help, but remediation of PDF documents is a complicated and time intensive process. Library liaisons are not expected to be able to do remediation for any items themselves. Any help with remediating a document should be requested through ALLY in Canvas or through the AES Office.
